Comrades,
Today I’m happy to announce the launch of issue 1 of the Zine also titled Xavografica. This which will be a quarterly printed pub;ication (limited edition to 50 copies only) and it will be featuring photographs from different projects that interest me aesthetically, culturally, architecturally and phylosophically.
Issue 1 is a photo essay about my obsessive observations of the chaotic installation of phone lines across my hometown in Mexico City. I see such chaos as an analogy between my thought process and the orderly purpose the cables serve. A self portrait of my mind if you like.
The release of issue 1 also marks the renaming of this platform to Xavografica; in order to have all of my personal work under one single brand. In the end, some of the photo essays shared here will be explored more extensively in the zine and as fine art prints. With all the sides that make them more expensive, you know, hand numbered, signed, glossy printing…
My commitment is to my craft and to those who like and support my work, this means you, comrades!
Though I’m very happy to support and finance this newsletter and the production of the zines through my commercial work, I’m now offering the option of a paid subscription to Xavografica for those who have the means to chip in and support my work. In return, you will get to feel what was like being a burgeoisie patron of a hard working artists say in the 17th century… only kidding. In returen you’ll get a generous 20% discount on all my zines and prints.
Don’t worry if you don’t want to or can’t become a paid subscriber, seriously, I won’t take it personal. All my posts will remain free forever and ever but I want to incentivise the fact that you can own a physical copy of my work.
If you wish to skip all this schmah and get yourself a copy of the zine, just follow the link RIGHT HERE!
Either way, I thank you for being so cool and supporting my work!
